Struct spinoso_exception::core::SystemExit
source · [−]pub struct SystemExit { /* private fields */ }
Expand description
Ruby SystemExit
error type.
Descendants of class Exception
are used to communicate between
Kernel#raise
and rescue
statements in begin ... end
blocks.
Exception objects carry information about the exception – its type (the
exception’s class name), an optional descriptive string, and optional
traceback information. Exception
subclasses may add additional information
like NameError#name
.
Implementations
sourceimpl SystemExit
impl SystemExit
sourcepub const fn new() -> Self
pub const fn new() -> Self
Construct a new, default SystemExit
Ruby exception.
This constructor sets the exception message to SystemExit
.
Examples
let exception = SystemExit::new();
assert_eq!(exception.message(), b"SystemExit");
sourcepub const fn with_message(message: &'static str) -> Self
pub const fn with_message(message: &'static str) -> Self
Construct a new, SystemExit
Ruby exception with the given
message.
Examples
let exception = SystemExit::with_message("an error occurred");
assert_eq!(exception.message(), b"an error occurred");
sourcepub fn message(&self) -> &[u8]ⓘNotable traits for &'_ mut [u8]impl<'_> Write for &'_ mut [u8]impl<'_> Read for &'_ [u8]
pub fn message(&self) -> &[u8]ⓘNotable traits for &'_ mut [u8]impl<'_> Write for &'_ mut [u8]impl<'_> Read for &'_ [u8]
Return the message this Ruby exception was constructed with.
Examples
let exception = SystemExit::new();
assert_eq!(exception.message(), b"SystemExit");
let exception = SystemExit::from("something went wrong");
assert_eq!(exception.message(), b"something went wrong");
